University of Győr Hockey Cup brought thrilling matches and victory for Lehel HC Jászberény
Győr – The University of Győr Hockey Cup, tournament that is part of the prestigious EUHL (European University Hockey League), has successfully concluded its latest edition. Over several days, spectators witnessed thrilling hockey matches among four teams that showcased high-quality university hockey and plenty of dramatic moments.
Ultimately, Lehel HC Jászberény secured the championship title, deservedly taking 1st place. The host team, UNI Győr ETO HC, finished in second place, while Sapientia U23 took third, and Opole United rounded out the standings in fourth.
The tournament delivered several captivating duels, including a convincing 5-1 victory for Lehel HC Jászberény over UNI Győr ETO HC, a nail-biting 4-3 win for Sapientia U23 against Opole United, and a high-scoring 9-7 shootout between Lehel HC Jászberény and Opole United.
The program on the ice was enriched by aspiring young figure skaters, who delighted the crowd with technically and visually impressive performances, enhancing the breaks with their dynamic artistry during the intermissions.
