From October 1 to 6, the international student hockey tournament Student Hockey Challenge 2019 will be held in Barnaul, Russia.
Eight teams will take part in the tournament: UK PRAHA Charles University (Czech Republic, Prague), ACHA Team of the American University Hockey League (USA), UMB University Mateja Bela (Slovakia, Banska Bystrica), PGAFKSiT Volga State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism (Russia) , Kazan), Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky (Russia, Nizhny Novgorod), “Power” Tambov State University. G.R. Derzhavina (Russia, Tambov), “Polytechnic” South Ural State University (Russia, Chelyabinsk), “Dynamo-Altai-student” team of universities of the Altai Territory (Russia, Barnaul).
The Dynamo Altai-Student team is the winner of the first Student Hockey Challenge tournament, which was held in October 2018 in Krasnoyarsk and was a test event in preparation for the XXIX World Winter Universiade.
The tournament will be supported by the Russian Hockey Federation, the Student Hockey League, the Ministry of Sports of the Altai Territory, CJSC Reduction and Cooling Units, the Council of Rectors of the Altai Territory Universities.
Matches will be held on two ice platforms – “Karandin-Arena” and “Titov-Arena”. The opening ceremony will take place on October 1 at 14-30 in the Titov Arena.
