Look at the EUHL semi-finals

The first game of the semi-final series took place on March 13th on the ice of Banská Bystrica, where the SAPIENTIA U23 team arrived. In the first game, the UMB HOCKEY TEAM won by 6:2.

The second semi-final game was tied literally until the last seconds. UMB HOCKEY TEAM captain Richard Novodomec scored the game-winning goal one second before the end of the game. Game No. 3 was won by the students from Banská Bystrica on the ice of SAPIENTIA U23 by 3:8 and thus ensured their advancement to the finals with the highest difference of 3:0 in the series.

The second semi-final series between the aspirants for the third title in a row, Gladiators Trenčín, against Philosophers Nitra started with a big surprise when Nitra won by 3:6 in the first game on the ice of Trenčín. In the second game, the Gladiators from Trenčín won by 4:0 and the series moved to Nitra at 1:1.

The third game of the series can be called the turning point and the most important one. The team from Trenčín managed it better after a narrow 4:2 victory and reached the series „matchpoint“. In the last game, the Gladiators Trenčín team won by 1:7 in Nitra. The series ended with a result of 3:1 in favor of Trenčín.

The European University Hockey League finals between Gladiators Trenčín and UMB HOCKEY TEAM Banská Bystrica starts on 29th March at the Pavol Demitra Arena in Trenčín at 6pm.
